i like this web site I think it is very user friendly, the features are very interesting.being a creative Image maker and photographer and having had ME for the past 22 years I enjoy reading about other women who have achived things beside bringing up a familey. I was ecepted by the Leeds Fine Art Club in 2005 as there first ever exhibiting photographer

After reading the article by Julia Neuberger, I wholeheartedly applaud her. I worked for six months in a nursing care home and the experience was appalling. I quit because of the indifference, ignorance, and lack of compassion. I could have written a statement each time I witnessed a violation of patients’ rights but knew that would be the end of any goodwill with most of the other employees on the floor I worked. On my last day, I was asked about my observations and did voice my opinion. Some of the transgressions I witnessed were constant, others less frequent but all were disturbing. It’s been over a year since I worked there and I still have vivid memories and anger about the system. Older people deserve respect and have a strong desire to maintain their dignity. They do not want to be placated, manipulated or treated like children. The loss of their homes and sometimes their families is huge. I spoke to many of them one on one and because their needs were not met, many became depressed or felt shame about aging. This is an outrage. Older people have payed their dues and earned the right to the highest quality care. This may mean less profits for the care facility but this would be a step in the right direction for a much needed change.

I was one of Margaret’s html tutors and part of the same graphics and photography groups at ThirdAge. I am privileged to call her my friend though thousands of miles separate us.

Thanks to Margaret Hockney I was introduced to your written pages. One I particularly enjoyed was the one about ‘Manifesto’.

Should it be arranged in form not unlike The Desiderata it would probably make the rounds on this planet through Internet proliferation.

I can picture it as a mainstay of the Red Hat Society, as a greeting card insert, so many possibilities. Bravo!

Shouldn’t really be doing this during working hours, but your mag was recommended to me and found it too good to pass by. A great read. Especially loved poet’s corner – Sarah we all feel like that sometimes – but as the mag says we women are all magnificent and unique

i dont buy women’s magazines because they make me feel fat and poor… this one didnt – that’s a good thing.
really like the over all desing & layout.
i can imagine losing many many hours to reading the guilty pleasures, a great idea.
